The Tennessee Trails & Tunes Festival is a celebration of the great outdoors and Tennessee’s music heritage. Downtown Erwin will showcase elements of Unicoi County’s outdoor recreation assets, several of the region’s best bands, and vendors dedicated to crafts and music.

Bands will include a variety of genres from Bluegrass, Folk, to Southern Rock. The event is expected to draw a crowd of 10,000 and accommodate locals, visitors, and Appalachian Trail Hikers.

This inaugural Trails & Tunes Festival honors the tradition with a day filled with music, food, fun activities for kids and adults, shopping and more. Join hikers, locals, and visitors from the five-state region in our celebration.

Unicoi County is an important destination for hikers along the Appalachian Trail for rest, recharging and replenishing along their trek. More than 50 miles of the famed 2,190-mile trail are in the county. Also, the home to premier whitewater rafting, camping, mountain biking, hunting, and fishing, Trails & Tunes Festival is a celebration of the county’s leadership in outdoor adventure.

The music festival is a collaborative labor of love for our mountain home by the Unicoi County Chamber of Commerce, Unicoi County Economic Development Board and the Rejuvenate. Invest. Support. Energize. (RISE) organization to advance the county’s position as a premier location for outdoor adventure tourism in Tennessee.

The day begins at 10:00am and will run until 6:00pm, so bring folding chairs and be ready for music, food, and fun. If you’re a mountain biker, be sure to bring your pair of wheels and participate in an adventure ride to one of Tennessee’s newest Mountain Bike Parks.  In between, visit our merchants and explore new ways to enjoy our outdoor adventures with our DayTrip Planner.
